For ALL employers:
This month marks the end of the “grace period” for using the expired version of the Form I-9. Check that your New Hire Packet includes the recently updated version of the form, dated 8/1/2023. You may also find it linked below. This form must be used for all new hires and for re-verification purposes.
Note: Existing employees do not need to complete an updated form I-9.

For employers subject to EEO-1 Reporting:
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has released an updated deadline for employers to submit their demographic data. The EEO-1 Component 1 data collection for 2022 will start on October 31, and the deadline for employers to file their EEO-1 reports is December 5.
