Date TBD | EEO-1 Data Reporting – On May 14th, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) submitted a proposal to the White House seeking to eliminate the requirement for employers to report annual workforce demographic data. At this time, the Commission has not announced the filing window for 2025 submissions, and it remains unclear whether this proposal will impact upcoming deadlines.
Workplace Violence Prevention Plan
Most California employers are required to have a WVPP, unless they have fewer than 10 employees and are not accessible to the public, or a workforce with all employees working from a home location not under employer control.
Once the WVPP is adopted, employers must then:
- Review & update the WVPP annually or as changes occur
- Provide employee training each year
- Maintain a log of workplace violence incidents, even without injuries

Heat Illness Prevention Policy
Summer is near and temps are rising; this means it is time to double check your heat illness prevention plans!
For indoor workspaces, if your workspace reaches 82°F or more, Cal/OSHA’s Indoor Heat Illness Prevention Standard may apply. For outdoor worksites Cal/OSHA’s Outdoor Heat Illness Prevention Standard remains in effect for industries like landscaping, agriculture, and construction. And if you fall into one of these categories you will need to provide a variety of cooling measures to your employees.
If you need help determining if you fall into one of these categories or want help with a plan of action if you do, give us a call!
If you need help going over your HR policies and getting organized to kick off summer give us a call today, we would love to help!
