OSHA 300A Posting and Electronic Submission Requirement For Employers in Sacramento, CA
It is February 1st and that means it is time to post the OSHA 300A if your company is not exempt from the requirement. Employers can find a list of partially exempt industries here. Unless exempt, the 300A is required even if there were no injuries in the 2016 reporting year.
The 300A must be posted in an area where other notices to employees are posted. In addition to the typical post and retain, there are new rules for some employers effective January 1, 2017, which require electronic submission of some OSHA Injury and Illness Data. These requirements are phased in over two years.
To determine if the new rule applies to your business, to view the Compliance Schedule, and to find the Recordkeeping Webpage online. The OSHA logs can be found on the Client Access page here.
